How Can I Get Support from the Student Services Team?

Go to the Student Services Office (in the main hall next to the main office) and Ms. Fiolka will make an appointment for you.

Be sure to schedule a time that interferes the least with your classes. The Student Services team are available before & after school, during lunch break, and throughout the day.

How We Can Help

The Student Services Team can support in many ways, including educational, career and personal counselling as well as support with post-secondary planning, scholarships and bursuries.

Learning Support

Learning strategies support is available to help students who would like assistance with their school work. All students who require extra help or have special learning needs can receive services such as individualized assessment and learning strategies including: organizational and time management skills, study and test-taking skills, managing test anxiety, and self-advocacy skills. Assistance finding a peer tutor is also available.

The Alex Health Centre |  physical, emotional and sexual health care available for vulnerable Calgarians. Mature minors are supported.

The Summit | Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience

Designed and built to provide mental health services for children and youth. The centre offers therapeutic support through a day hospital and community-based treatment. Also offered, walk-in services for anyone under 18 years of age and their family who would like to speak with a counsellor. Walk in services do not require a referral.

Our students’ success is our top priority and we understand that our students live complex lives and that many factors both in school and outside of school can affect their ability to learn. The CBE offers a variety of services (such as Culture and Linguistic Support, Exceptional and Special Needs, and Psychological Services) to support students, their families and our school, so students can be successful learners.
