First Day of Classes
As we look forward to the start of the 2026/27 school year, you will find below information regarding start dates/times, timetables, important dates, lockers, student parking and school supplies. Please continue to scroll through the entire page to access all pertinent information.
Staggered Entry August 31
Junior High students are invited to attend from 8:55 - 11:56 AM *. Students will spend the morning in their homerooms.
*Parents, if your child takes the school bus, they will be picked up like regular in the morning, however, you will need to arrange for your child to be picked up from the school at the lunch bell for this day only.
High School students are invited to attend from 12:32 - 3:33 PM. Students will have a shortened timetable:
- Period 1 – 12:32 - 1:18
- Period 2 – 1:20 - 2:03
- Period 3 – 2:05 - 2:48
- Period 4 –2:50 - 3:33
Our regular Bell Times resume on September 1.
Accessing Your Timetable
Parents, legal guardians and independent students can create a MyCBE account to access the class schedule before the first day of classes. Instructions on how to create an account can be found in Technical Support for Students & Parents > MyCBE.
Student can see their timetable in the PowerSchool Mobile App. You will need a district code to sign in to your account - you can find it in your MyCBE Account (hint: D ***).
New students can log in during school photos on August 26–27.
High School Timetables & Course Changes
You can view your schedule in PowerSchool starting August 14th, 2026. Schedules are not finalized until Monday, August 31, 2026 as changes may still occur due to teacher assignments, class balancing, or new registrations.
We recommend taking a screenshot of your schedule the evening of August 30, 2026 to use on the first day of classes — schedules will not be printed
Requesting Timetable Changes
Students may request changes using the online Timetable Change Request Form available starting on Monday, August 17 at 9:00am until August 28 at noon.

Due to limited space, changes will only be considered for:
· Core class imbalances
· Missing pre-requisites
· Missing graduation requirements
· Summer School results
· Course sequencing
We are unable to make changes based on teacher preference, semester preference, or peer requests. Option changes can only be made if space is available.
Students with “See Counsellor” in their schedule must not use the form. These students will be prioritized for in-person support in Student Services from 1:00–3:00 PM on August 26–27, 2026.
Accessing Your Schedule
· New to CBE? Parents can create a PowerSchool account to access your schedule before the first day. Instructions on how to create your PowerSchool account can be found here. You will need a 4 character district to create your account. Please contact the main office for the District code.
· New Students can then log into PowerSchool on a school computer during school photos on August 26–27, 2026 from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Registering for Online (CBe-learn) Courses – Fall Semester
Students interested in adding a first semester online course must complete a separate registration opening on August 17th, 2026. Classes fill quickly, so register early.

As families begin to develop their fall calendars, please be aware of the following up-coming dates and events in August and September which include:
- ID/School Photos August 26 and 27 - 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Thursday, August 27 - International Student Orientation - 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Monday, Aug. 31 - First Day of School (see times above)
- Week of September 2 - High School Volleyball, High School Girls Soccer Tryouts
- Tuesday, September 1 - First day of regular classes
- Tuesday, September 9 - Limited Cafeteria service begins
- Thursday, September 10 - Meet the Teacher and Clubs Fair
- Monday, September 14 - Full Cafeteria Service
- Monday, September 21 - AGM and School Council Meeting, 7 PM
- Friday, September 25 - Non-Instructional Day - No classes
- Wednesday, September 30 - National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – No Classes

Lockers
Grade 7 to 9 students will receive their locker from their homeroom teacher in the first three days of school. Grade 10 to 12 students will receive their lockers from the Business Office starting September 14, 2026.

Transportation
Parking
Parents and guardians are reminded not to park where it's prohibited during drop off and pick up times.
Student Parking
Beginning Monday, September 14, students can register their vehicle and get their parking pass from the Business Office.

School Supplies
Students should bring their own basic school supplies, such as pens, pencils, and binders with paper. Teachers will provide information if additional supplies are required.
