IPP’s

Friday, September 27, 2024, is a non-instructional day for students. Teachers will be working collaboratively on student Individual Program Plans. If your student has an IPP, teachers will be in communication to discuss learning priorities and to gather information beginning our IPP process. IPP students will bring home the first working copy of the IPP on October 11. Please review this document with your student and return the signature page to the homeroom teacher as soon as possible.

Parent-teacher interviews will be held on October 24 (5-8 pm) and October 25 (9-2 pm).  We look forward to connecting with families and discussing the transition to this school year.  Interview booking information will be shared at a future date.

School Photo Packages

Please send high school students to the main office to pick up their photo packages. Junior High students will receive their packages via their homeroom teacher.  Photo retakes will be on Friday, October 11.

Attendance

When calling the school and leaving a message to report any type of attendance matters (including late and leave early), we ask that you please spell your child’s last name, say their first name and indicate what grade they are in.  Please also indicate the reason for the absence and the duration.  Alternately, you can provide this information by emailing the school at queenelizabethjrsr@cbe.ab.ca

Outdoor Ed Fundraiser

Did you know that our outdoor education program spent over 40 days on field trips last year? To offset the cost of bussing for these opportunities, the Grade 7 EOE program is running a coffee fundraiser through Rebel Bean. There will be several “runs” throughout the year. Our first coffee run is for the month of September. You can support our program by ordering your coffee or tea through the following link: https://rebelbeanfundraising.com/?sca_ref=2735575.isot68tH3b. When you check out, specify “knights”. Thanks in advance for your support.

Snack Drive

Miss Preteen Universe Canada, Khaliah M., has organized a Back-to-School Snack Drive for Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids. BB4CK is an amazing local charity that gives lunches to 7500 students in 270 schools every day. You can donate non-perishable, nut-free, individually packaged snacks (such as Goldfish, Made Good products, Bear Paws, Fruit to Go, GoGo Squeez, Ritz, granola bars, etc.). Drop off donations in the box inside the Main Office before Friday, October 11.
