Important Dates 

Thursday, November 7 – Last day of Classes before Fall Break 
Thursday, November 14 – Classes resume after Fall Break 

 

Remembrance Day 

QEHS will be observing Remembrance Day tomorrow with two assemblies.  The Sr. High assembly will be from 11am-12pm and the Jr. High assembly will be from 1pm-2pm.  

Students will be provided with a Poppy but are asked to bring a small donation if they are able. 

 

Socktober 

Congratulations to all the Jr High students for their amazing fundraising and collecting of socks to donate to WINS (Women In Need Society) for Socktober. Jr High students collected a total of 1962 pairs!!!! A special congratulations to the following homerooms for collecting the most within each grade team; 7-72, 8-84 and 9-95. What an amazing effort by all our QE Jr High Knights!!! 

 

Grade 9 West Coast Sailing Trip 

There will be a Parent Meeting for interested Grade 9 West Coast Sailors on Tuesday, November 26 at 5:30 pm in the Learning Commons.  Attending this meeting does not mean you have to commit to the trip.  This is an information/Q&A meeting only.

Garden Club 

The Garden Club is looking for seed and plant donations to support our Winter Plant Sale during Knights Night on December 12!  We will be grateful for any seeds and/or houseplant cuttings that you are willing to donate. Seeds can be donated in labelled bags or jars and houseplant cuttings can be donated in jars (with water) or wrapped in a wet paper towel and plastic bag.  All donations can be brought to the Main Office or directly to room A303. 

In order to have enough time to sprout our seedlings, we will be accepting donations up to lunch time on November 18.  Thank you! 

 

High School Basketball 

Senior Boys - Tryouts will begin Monday Nov. 18 and Wednesday Nov. 20 @ 3:45pm (right after school) in the main gym for all grade 10, 11 and 12 students who are interested.   

Senior Girls - Tryouts will begin Tuesday Nov. 19 and Thursday Nov. 21 @ 3:45pm (right after school) in the main gym for all grade 10, 11 and 12 students who are interested.  

 *Proper footwear and clothing are expected.*  

 

Culture Day 

On November 21, we’re turning our school into a dazzling showcase of nations.  By creating a platform for cultural expression, we hope to foster a school environment filled with inclusion, understanding and mutual respect.  This is a chance for everyone to learn more about the world around them.  If you think your child would be interested in participating by creating a display that showcases the vibrancy, music, art and traditions of their culture, please have them see Ms. Warford in Room A304. 

 

Yearbooks 


This year, yearbook sales will go directly through Josten's website. Yearbooks will be for sale from August 28, 2024 to February 23, 2025 on Josten's website for $40.00 per book.
