Parent Teacher Conferences 

We will be hosting Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, March 20 from 5pm-8pm and Friday, March 21 from 9am-2pm.  All Conferences will be online and parents can begin booking conferences through their MyCBE/PowerSchool Account, under the ‘Book and Manage Meeting Times’ tab.  Booking will open on Friday, March 14 at 7am.  A Teams link for the on-line meetings will be sent in your confirmation e-mail. Parents are able to book a 10-minute appointment with each one of their child’s teachers. If you have trouble booking conferences, please contact the main office so that they can assist you. 

 

Attention High School Students 

All high school students, please attend your homeroom class during Knight's Block this Friday, March 7.   

 

Parents of Current Grade 9 Students 

Queen E Admin will be hosting an online High School 101 session for parents of current grade 9 students on the evening of Thursday, March 6.  The presentation will cover the basics of High School including graduation requirements, credits, course selection, and key information about finding success in High School.  The link to register for the on-line meeting is below.

HYRS Program Application 

The Alberta Innovates High School Youth Researcher Summer (HYRS) Program seeks students who are well-rounded, curious about health research, and looking for a summer research experience to help launch their career and academic goals. This opportunity allows exceptional Grade 11 students to work alongside UCalgary faculty members, make invaluable connections, and contribute to innovative biomedical and health research at one of the world's top research Universities.  

HYRS offers a balanced experience involving tours of the campus and other research facilities, guest lectures on health research and related careers, and other educational sessions from current university students. On the last day of the program, students present on their research project at an Open House event.

Grad Movie Night 

Grad Movie night will be postponed to sometime in the Spring.  In place of Grad Movie night, grads will be hosting a kickball game vs. QEHS teachers at lunch on Thursday, March 6 in the Senior Gym. 

 

Outdoor Ed Camping Gr. 8/9 

Please look for details on the Outdoor Ed. 8/9 end of year camping trip in your email inboxes later this week.  This trip is open to all EOE 8/9 students who have had Mrs. Wilson-Brown this school year.  If you have not received an email by March 3 and would like details please contact her at rjbrown@cbe.ab.ca
