Dear QEHS Parents and Guardians,

What a great week full of celebrations.  Congratulations to our graduating class of 2026 and to our CTF/Fine Arts students on their fabulous performances and outstanding showcase.

This week I wish to highlight some important messages regarding Provincial Achievement tests, Final Assessments, and report cards.

Firstly, teachers will be working on writing report card comments in the next couple of weeks. Therefore, we will be turning off the PowerSchool Final grade calculation on Friday, June 5.  Please contact your child’s teacher if you have questions about credit recovery processes after the final day of regular classes, for high school students, on June 9.

Grade 9 Provincial Achievements tests will continue throughout the month of June.  A reminder that afternoons remain instructional time and include planned learning opportunities and attendance taking.  To support the office with attendance, parents were given a form to complete to give permission for your child to leave after the PAT. However, please note that teachers will be planning instruction to support review and ongoing learning.  If you do give your child permission to leave, they must leave the school property and they are not able to return to school for their transportation home.  If students are at school, they are expected to be in class.

A reminder that our final assessment schedule is posted on our website.  Also, please review the important exam regulations below to ensure your child is set up for success on the day of their exams.

Good luck to our students and remember our school moto- hard work conquers all!

With gratitude,

Jennifer Edmondson-Neily
Principal
