Dear QEHS Parents and Guardians,
What a great week we had a QEHS! The winter band concert was a phenomenal showcase of our grades 7, 9 and high school concert bands. The music was inspiring and the students’ performances were an outstanding showcase of their creativity and commitment. Our partnership with the University of Calgary’s Orchestre and Wind Ensemble was a demonstration of the power of community connections to expand and increase learning. Bravo!
Wishing much success to our high school students wrapping up semester 1 next week with the last day of new content instruction on Friday, January 23. Some high school students are required to attend school for credit rescue support on Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27. Teachers will be reaching out directly to parents if your high school student is required to attend. Semester 2 begins on Wednesday, January 28.
Regular classes for grades 7, 8 and 9 continue. Junior high students will change complimentary courses for the start of term 3 on Wednesday, January 28.
Have a wonderful weekend.
With gratitude,
Jennifer Edmondson-Neily
Principal
